My AP Language class is reading this book. Why read this book in an Advanced Placement English class? Because I teach at a Lutheran high school and the insights this book provides are amazing. Last week we had a great discussion of the theology of glory and the theology of the cross. That's why we are reading this book.

May I be so bold and shameless as to recommend my soon-to-be-released novel about Paul called A Wretched Man. As a Lutheran lay theologian, I think the Lutheran view of Paul and grace comes through, but it is also an edgy book that will get your students thinking and talking.
