Example Kickball

Last Saturday was one of the most rewarding day's I've had in some time.

It began early Saturday with a drive to Ferndale to be on the Our World His View radio show. I was asked to speak about Example, the anti alcohol/drug student group I founded and advised. I brought three of the Example students along for the ride and we talked about the challenges and benefits of such an important group. Listen to the podcast.

Later that day we had our last Example activity of the year: The Example Kickball Tournament. Instantly, I was taken back to the Bethlehem Lutheran Grade School recess days where we ruled the kickball kingdom. Well, at least that's how I remembered it. The weather was perfect, the hot dogs were grilled to perfection and everyone had a great time. The kids played some fiercely competitive kickball. I saw it as a celebration of what we accomplished this year with Example.
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an Example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." - I Timothy 4:12
