Back to the Past

Thirty years ago I used the acronym BRANDT...

Be
Represented
And
Not
Denied
Today

as my campaign platform to become the student council president at Valley Lutheran High School in Saginaw, Michigan. At the time I thought it was a brilliant slogan because I felt the needs of the students were ignored by the current president. I later realized how wrong I was. I also realized thinking about standing in front of a lot students and speaking to them is much easier than actually speaking to them.

Thirty years later, I'm still standing in front of students speaking to them.

So when my daughter asked for poster ideas to help her run for Social Chair of student council, I knew that if a slogan worked thirty years it would also work today.

Sincerely,

One Proud Father
